Museum Education

My decade at the Guggenheim Museum shaped my interpretive philosophy, which is inquiry based and prioritizes personal engagement with the art. In my current position as Educator Coordinator at the Missoula Art Museum, my duties include shaping educational programming, outreach to special populations, and training Teaching Artists and Art Guides. When we ask open-ended questions such as “What do you notice?” and “What do you wonder?” we help viewers connect through the lens of their own experiences. The practice of noticing and wondering builds our capacity for curiosity,  a life skill which supports health and well being for everyone.
